Makerspaces- open and staffed for your visit during tour times – Sunday 12-5, Monday 4-6, and Tuesday 4-6

Invention Studio – located on 2nd floor of MRDC Building – 801 Ferst Dr, Atlanta, GA 30332

The Invention Studio at Georgia Tech is the largest student run makerspace in the nation and has attracted thousands of members and users since its founding in 2009, allowing students to design, build, and play together.


Hive – located on 2nd floor of Van Leer Building – 777 Atlantic Dr NW, Atlanta, GA 30332

The Interdisciplinary Design Commons, better known as the Hive Makerspace, is here to provide the Georgia Tech community with accessible engineering space and resources to bring ideas to life in a non-traditional classroom setting. Our space is open to all members of Georgia Tech regardless of major, year, or experience.


GVU Center Resource Lab – in the basement of TSRB Building – 85 5th St NW, Atlanta, GA 30308

The GVU Center Prototyping Lab offers rapid prototyping tools mainly focused on human-centered computing systems for the research and academics that occur in Technology Square at Georgia Tech as well as the rest of the GVU Community.


Aero Makerspace – located at Weber Building – 275 Ferst Drive, Atlanta, GA, 30313

The Aero Makerspace houses advanced equipment and training for research and personal projects to Georgia Tech students and faculty of all majors and colleges.


Biomedical Engineering Design Shop located in the basement of the Whitaker Building -313 Ferst Dr NW, Atlanta, GA 30332

A small biomed-centric CNC milling and turning shop where students are encouraged to focus on what their designs should really be before they worry about how to make them.


MILL – Materials Science and Enginineering – located at Love Building – 771 Ferst Dr NW, Atlanta, GA 30332

The MILL is the world’s first student-run, open-access make AND measure space for materials science and engineering.
